This single-family home had been vacant for 3 years when NCST Community Buyer, Credit Card Management Services, Inc., dba DebtHelper.com, purchased the home. The property had been cited by the city for several violations and also had an open permit which needed to be closed prior to selling the property. The home was built in 1959 as a two bedroom, one bath home. Fortunately, it had a sound structural base to start with, and with more than $100,000 invested in rehab, this once forgotten home was transformed into a beautiful three bedroom, two bathroom home, complete with an attached garage. This renovation brought the property value up to other comparable homes in the area.
The transformation was extraordinary, with the addition of a garage and master suite, new impact hurricane windows, new kitchen, new granite counter tops and new stainless steel appliances. The entire home was freshly painted inside and out and tiled with new baseboards, new A/C, new bathrooms, new cabinets, new fixtures and new mirrors. The entire yard was landscaped and new sod and a sprinkler system was added to complete the project.
Due to the great work from Debthelper, this completely renovated property was able to be purchased through conventional financing by an LMI couple who were seeking an affordable home to expand their family.
