Fry Holdings invested more than $63,000 into this 104 year-old property which was vacant and had city code violations. The restoration of this three bedroom, one bath, 1,100 square foot home included completely renovating the kitchen and bathroom, opening a wall between the kitchen and dining area, installing new energy efficient windows, removing the plaster to the studs, adding insulation and new drywall and fresh paint throughout, putting in all new flooring, and replacing the roof.
They also installed a new high efficiency HVAC, made needed siding repairs, painted both porches and rebuilt the stairs, replaced all electrical wiring and updated the plumbing, and made foundation repairs. The buyer even took down the old garage and built a new one, and replaced the old gravel driveway and crumbling sidewalk with fresh concrete.
The first-time homebuyer was new to the Cincinnati area and wanted an affordable, move-in ready home close to Downtown – which is only about 25 minutes away. He was having difficulty finding an affordable home due to the tight market and was thrilled to find this renovated home in a more quiet community. Deer Park is once again beginning to attract new residents, as it is strategically situated between two major freeways, served by Queen City Metro buses, and near several shopping centers and hospitals.
