Freddie Mac Presents: Develop the Developer℠ Reinvesting & Developing Affordable Housing in Underserved Communities

Our guest speaker will be..

Cassandra Skidanov, Affordable Lending Senior Manager,

Single-Family Acquisition Division at Freddie Mac

Cassandra will be sharing the latest updates on Freddie Mac’s Develop the Developer℠ program which is an innovative program focused on the reinvestment and development of affordable housing in historically underserved communities. This program strives to address critical national housing challenges around the affordable housing supply shortage in addition to helping fill the gaps in knowledge and critical skills for emerging real estate developers. Develop the Developer℠ program offers mechanisms supporting connectivity and support within local markets and, most importantly, the disproportionate representation of women, Black, Indigenous and People of color (BIPOC) developers within the single-family and multifamily development industry.

Freddie Mac provides liquidity, stability, and affordability to the nation’s residential mortgage markets. Freddie Mac supports communities by providing mortgage capital to lenders. Today, Freddie Mac is making home possible for one in four home borrowers and is one of the largest sources of financing for multifamily housing.

Please join us to learn more about how this innovative program is supporting BIPOC real estate developers focused on the redevelopment of affordable housing in their local communities.
