NCST Community Buyer, KeySay, purchased this vacant condominium through the Enhanced Offer program. The condominium association is self-managed, does not have a large amount of reserves, and requires owner-occupants, thus limiting the buyers for this unit. However, KeySay located a family who was seeking a nearby home in which their Mother/Grandmother, who earns less than 80% of AMI, could live. The family was thrilled to find this rehabbed, affordable unit that is only a few miles from their home.
More than $9,000 in rehab went in to this two bedroom, one bathroom unit, which included fresh paint, new carpet and padding, a refreshed kitchen, and in the bathroom, the bathtub and surrounding tiles were re-glazed. The buyer also had the plumbing and electric inspected and repaired as needed.
This home is near shopping, Metra and offers easy access to I-57 & I-294. There is a library next door and it’s just a five minute walk to a large park.
