Jose and his wife, who are expecting their first child, have taken the step from renting to homeownership with the help of NCST community buyer, KeySay, the NSI First Look program, and Jose’s father.
Jose wanted to live close to his Father, and they now do in this affordable, renovated, single-family three bedroom, two bath home. Their total mortgage payment is only $65 more per month than what they paid in rent.
Jose works the nighttime shift at a nearby employer, and is thrilled to live near work, and he’s also looking forward to spending time with his family in the home’s large yard and the neighborhood park just across the street. His wife is excited to live in this bright, spacious home that has lots of updates including a new kitchen.
Key Say invested more than $29,000 in renovating this home which included the totally updated kitchen, updated plumbing and electric, and more. They installed a new front entry door and locks, repaired and sealed all windows, repaired all walls and added fresh paint throughout, replaced all flooring, replaced the bathtubs and installed new vanities and plumbing fixtures, and they did a full demolition and renovation on the basement. They also completed exterior repairs such as power washing the siding and repainting the home, repairing the driveway, and re-attaching loose gutters.
