Kettering, OH — County Corp of Montgomery County

Tan home with detached garage, blue sky in background and green lawn in front

NCST Community Coordinator Partner, County Corp of Montgomery County invested almost $20,000 into this previously vacant property in Kettering, Ohio. Originally built in 1955, the renovation of this three-bedroom, one bath home included replacing the existing main structure roof and garage roof as well as a complete repainting of the interior of the property.

Our partner addressed key system improvements such as HVAC as well as replacing kitchen appliances. Additionally, flooring was replaced in throughout the home. The exterior siding received a complete power wash and the window trims were replaced to both bring curb appeal and ensure that this home was “move-in” ready. And finally, a fish pond was thoughtfully removed yielding more yard space and lessening the maintenance burden for homeowners.

The home was sold to a first time homebuyer who recently relocated to area from California for a new position. This property is located in suburban Kettering, Ohio, on Dayton’s south side. The home is well-positioned for moderate-income households, such as this homebuyer, with close proximity to many area recreational opportunities such as the Kettering Recreation Center and a short walk to State Farm Park. Kettering also boasts nearby shopping and dining and is only 5 miles from major attractions and cultural amenities in downtown Dayton and less than one hour to downtown Cincinnati.
